This month alone, we had 5 new cases of malaria due to not sleeping under a mosquito net. This means there were 25 days of lost learning, medical costs, and long-term impacts on health. Kepler takes your health for learning seriously. This message is intended to ensure you are engaging in healthy habits.
By December 1, mosquito nets must be hung over each student's bed. We will do an inspection on that date, and we will do random inspections after that date. The penalties outlined below apply throughout the school year.
Penalty:
Any student found without a mosquito net over his or her bed will lose their stipend for the month.
Additionally, ALL members of the house where someone has not hung a net will lose half of their stipend for the month.
All students were provided with a mosquito net at the beginning of their time at Kepler. If you need a loan for a new one, please see Beata.
