New CAO Hire
Teppo Jouttenus joining the team! - We are excited to have Teppo joining as the VP of Academic Affairs (role previously titled as Chief Academic Officer). His start date is Aug. 21.
Teppo, his wife and two young children will be moving to Rwanda around Aug. 17-19.
A short bio: Teppo's career has focused on using learning science and innovative technology to build blended and online learning programs. He was part of the founding team at edX, where he built a team to support all of Harvard's and MIT's Massive Open Online Courses and served as the University Relationship Manager for edX's European partners. He then joined the founding team of online learning startup Outlearn. Most recently, he served as the Director of Product Management at Year Up, creating a blended learning curriculum for professional skills. Teppo graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a PhD in Particle Physics.
We look forward to introducing Teppo to the student body once he arrives on campus. And thanks to the students who participated in his interview process!
