Internship Practicum
Hi All,
In order to give support to students who are doing internship, we will be running sessions for students to reflect, share their challenges at work in order to find solutions with peers, etc.
The practicum will cover the following objectives:
Students will be able to share with their peers their learning experience on the job and how this helps advance their careers.
Students will be able to discuss and share the challenges they face at work and problem solve these together. These may include but not limited to feedback with or to their boss, lower level work, feeling dissatisfied, not having clear deliverables, what they learn through different challenges faced at work, etc.
Students will demonstrate how the skills they learned at Kepler are relevant to the workplace and this will provide insight on what could be improved in the curriculum.
Students who will complete the practicum will get an opportunity to raise their competency mastery in addition to getting a Kepler endorsement.
Note the following:
Students will sign up for one session a week (1.5 hours)
Students who work outside of Kigali will participate in this remotely.
This is also a chance for students to raise their ratings on competencies covered previously.
We encourage students to keep a journal of what challenges they are facing at work.
