JCI Club at Kepler
We are launching a new club at Kepler called JCI Kepler. Junior Chamber International Kepler (JCI Kepler) is non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people between 18 and 40 years old. It has members in about 124 countries, Rwanda inclusive, and regional or national organizations in many of them. It has been consultative status with the Council of Europe, with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (UNESCO).
This club seeks encourage young people in our community to become responsible citizens and to participate in efforts towards social and economic development, and international co-operation, goodwill and understanding. Its members are called Jaycees (from JCI).
Our purpose:
Development of an awareness and acceptance of the responsibilities of citizenship.
Individual participation in internal training programs to develop leadership potential.
Active participation in planning and executing programs for the development of the individual and the community.
Promotion of social economic development in the community.
Furtherance of understanding, goodwill and cooperation among all peoples.
Create mutual cooperation with Rwandan based JCI Quorums, such as; the universities, the JCI Rwanda.
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
1. Fits JCI Mission, Values and principles.
JCI looks for young people who will demonstrate passion
for the JCI Mission and principles. Those who are
energized by the idea of creating the positive
change they wish to see in the world will be
motivated to participate in JCI initiatives.
2. Wants to grow and constantly improve.
Looking for young people who are constantly looking
for new experiences, new knowledge and personal
3. Is willing to help others.
Looking for young people who are active and engaged
in helping the community, such as volunteers for
community service.
4. Is active in other associations.
Looking for young people who are active in other
associations or organizations and are tuned in with
current events and challenges in their local area.
5. Has a potential leadership profile.
Looking for young people who are leading other
associations or are always at the front line on
community issues.
6. Has the time and resources to be an active member.
The Jaycee member is willing to discover their legends, and to see those legends transform the lives of others.
