Candidates for SGA this Academic Year

Dear Students,

Below are the final candidates for the Student Government Association this academic year!! We are excited to get to work with some of them soon.

Here are the things you need to know:

• Campaigning will start tomorrow (October 14) and will end on October 19

• Candidates will speak to all students on October 19 at 4 - 5 PM in the Great Hall to explain why you should vote for them. This is a mandatory meeting.

• In terms of campaigning, these are the norms you should be aware of:

• All campaign materials are limited to the ground floor of the Kepler building. No campaign materials are allowed within the stairwell, hallways, no classrooms other than the Great Hall.

• Campaigning should not take place in group houses during evening hours (starting at 6 PM)

• See the SGA by-laws for more details about the campaign.

• Candidates can use other students to help you campaign for these positions.

• Even if there is only one candidate for a position, s/he still needs to campaign. A lack of votes might cost him/her the position if less than 50% of voters disagree with the nomination.

• Voting will take place on October 19 at 5 pm until Oct 21 at 5 PM.
