Kepler Policies Reinforcement
Hi Students,
I hope the summer Bridge is treating you well. After finding out that you are not using and respecting Kepler norms and policies to higher expectations, I would like take this opportunity to remind you the following
Classroom Norms: Students should follow the instructors' directions. If it is Ago- Ame, there is no need to remind you to go half-mast. A student who will fail to do this will leave his/her computer to the instructor for the whole day.
Attendance policy:
Being in class on time means five minutes before Starting: Those five minutes are for preparation not for doing what you want. Open the canvas page, read the class norms or pre-class materials. If you are not in class before these five minutes you are late
Lateness of 15mins or outside the class are marked with absence: Count these minutes starting by 5mins before class starts
You are allowed one absence per course or per CfA 12 Check-in Meetings weeks, the other ones are supposed to put you under fine payment (2k per each absence)
Request for absence should be done by 24hours
Some students send the permission requests after going: This is not allowed because you are advised to go after getting permission confirmation
Other students ask for the permission to go to hospital from the instructors and the Dean of Students: this is under Beata’s, the Kepler Nurse, attributions. She is the only one who confirms your absence for medical treatment. I hope that next time you will do this perfectly.
