Meeting Rooms Reservation with Google Calendar
Hi students,
We hope you had a productive weekend. Starting today, we would like to let you know that we are changing the room reservation system. In order to avoid too much emails, we have added the meeting rooms to the Kepler Calendar. You were all shared with all Meeting Rooms' Calendars, and you are able to see which rooms are busy and which ones are not.
Note: Starting in next week, you will not be allowed to book Conference Room 1 (Karongi) and Conference Room 2 (next to the Server Room) 8 a.m - 5 pm. We will be adding more shade covers to the back area, completing the room next to the library and adding a back shelter in the coming weeks. This will provide you with more study space
See the instructions below, for booking rooms and adding them to your calendar invitations.
1. If you want to organize a meeting with your supervisor or classmates, look at the options on the right side of your screen (in the invitation editing environment). They include "Guests"- for people you want to invite, and "Rooms"- for rooms that are available at the time you want your meeting to take place. Do not book classrooms!
2. Opening/Displaying a calendar for a certain room will give you all the information about meetings that are scheduled in that room.
Please, be mindful about the "Busy" and "Available" signs in meeting rooms (and classrooms). Do not mark a room as busy, if you did not book it. Do not enter the rooms that have busy signs. Do not book the room and leave it as Available.
If you have any problems using these calendars, contact Simon or Salomon.
