Topic: Life after Kepler and the Mining Sector

About the speaker: Consolation is currently the Safety Standards and Inspection Expert at the Ministry of Natural Resources, advising the minister on safety policies in Rwandan mining industry. He holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from NUR College of Science and Technology and was funded as a Generation Rwanda Scholar. In the past, Consolation has worked as a course facilitator at Kepler and with Earth Enable.
Presentation abstract: I will first talk about potential opportunities after Kepler and connect that with my own experiences after Kepler. I will then give you an overview of the mining industry, which I primarily work with, and highlight some key developments in mining in the last 5 years. After addressing some challenges, especially with safety in mining, I will take you on a look ahead to the future of mining.
