Have you ever wanted to learn how to program? This is your chance! Take an online class from MIT with tutored work sessions at k-lab that help you design and create your own programs in the python programming language. You may designate this class for academic credit at Kepler.
This is a class introducing the python programming language based on a MOOC from MIT. You will learn programming in a rigorous way through creating different program. We will cover loops, statements, functions, objects, recursion, graphs and networks, among other things. You are primarily responsible for learning the material on your own - class will be two work sessions each week focused on working through coding assignments together and learning how to use online resources such as documentations, search engines and websites (stackoverflow, sourceforge etc.) to enable you to solve problems on your own. If you complete the course with more than 70% on the assignments, you will receive a printable pdf certificate.
