The Camera Policy

There are 3 cameras on campus that can be borrowed and signed out by any Kepler student or employee.

The camera is provided with a fully charged battery and an 8GB memory card.

The borrower shall abide by the Kepler Technology policy and take full responsibility for anything that might happen to the borrowed item. In case of damage,loss the borrower will cover the cost of any damage to the camera or if the damage results in the camera not working, the borrower will cover the cost of purchasing a new one of like quality.

These cameras are to be used for Kepler academic related purposes or events only.

A camera can be borrowed for up to 3 hours. It shall be returned by the day's end during office hours. If the borrower is delayed in returning the camera for any reason, they must report the issue at least an hour prior.

Photos and videos taken will have to be backed up and erased before return. Failure to do so will result in loss of pictures and videos taken before. Borrowers will also be fined 500 RWF for not erasing photos and videos.

To save more time for next users, the camera batteries have to be recharged before return.

Failure to so, the user shall be charged 500 RWF.

The camera condition will be checked by the Technician upon checkout and upon return and the user will be informed if there are any damages or fines they have to cover.
