Kepler Kiziba Coaches
Job Description
Kepler is looking for students to serve as Kepler Kiziba Coaches. Kepler Kiziba coaches will be responsible for organizing trips to Kigali for Kepler Kiziba students, conduct distance coaching sessions, and track and report on performance data of students. This work study requires a commitment of 10 hours per week.
1. Duties include:
Attend training and professional development to learn how to be an effective coach
Organize at least a one week (and perhaps more) trip to Kigali for Kepler Kiziba students
Conduct distance coaching sessions once technology is in place at Kiziba
Track and report on performance data of students
Conduct in person coaching sessions at Kepler Kiziba as needed
Perform duties determined necessary to ensure the academic success of Kepler Kiziba students
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
2. Qualifications & Eligibility
Strong academic performance
Possess strong typing skills
Outstanding moral and interpersonal skills
Be a Kepler Student of Cohort 2013, 2014 or 2015
Clear communication skills
Must not have another work-study
Details-oriented
Creative/critical thinker and effective and tech-savvy manager
